Field Notes: Our body responds to nature, because we are nature
You’ve probably felt it without realising - how your shoulders drop when you’re near water and how your breathing slows down under trees. You walk into a forest and feel settled before you’ve even decided to relax.
That feeling isn’t just in your head. We didn’t evolve in rooms, looking at screens. We came from the green, the water and the fresh open air, and our bodies remember all of it.

What we love about this is that nothing is being fixed. You don’t need to be improved, corrected or optimise. You’re somewhere your body already understands, and it knows how to come back to itself.
This is the whole reason why we build everything from the forest, and scent most of all. Our fragrance blend is called Sun Through Trees, and it’s grounded in Vetiver, Canadian Black Spruce and Cedarwood, which are the deep woody notes that make up the floor of the forest. Then it’s lifted with Bergamot, a little brightness coming through like sun breaking over the top of the canopy.

When we asked our founder Estée to describe it in one word, she said reassuring, and we think anyone who’s smelled it knows exactly what she means. It’s grounding and uplifting at the same time.
Scent is interesting because it reaches you faster than almost anything else, before you’ve had a chance to think. It’s the quickest way back into your body, which is really what all of this is about.
We are nature and the forest isn’t somewhere you go to escape yourself - it’s a way back in.
